4000dpi and built-in memory

Gaming mice are possibly one of the most controversial things you can buy, as everyone and their dog will have an opinion about which one is the best. It now seems like Gigabyte is ready to give this already crowded market space another stab with its new GM-M8000.

Although the name might be as boring as watching grass grow, the features are rather cutting edge, as the GM-M8000 features adjustable sensitivity all the way up to 4000dpi, thanks to its Avago 6090 laser sensor. It also features Gigabyte's Ghost software and 8kb of built in flash memory into which you can store game profiles and macro settings.

Still not happy? How about 38g of adjustable weights, Teflon feet, gold plated USB connector, four LEDs to indicate the dpi setting,  five buttons and a rocker switch for adjusting the DPI? The mouse itself weighs in at 145g without the added weights and it measures 126x74x43mm (DxWxH).

Overall, this looks like a fairly decent gaming mouse, although we're not sure if the design will be to everyone's taste, but this is never the case. Now, if they could just come up with a cool name for it...
