Transfers your data from a PC to a Mac

Belkin has always been an avid supporter of Apple products, be it Macs or iPods or just about anything else. The latest product from Belkin is targeting those that are upgrading from a PC to a Mac, as the Switch-to-Mac cable is intending to make this a breeze.

There's nothing worse than mucking about with moving files into the right folders when you upgrade your computer and the hassle tends to be much worse when you're moving between different operating systems and the Switch-to-Mac cable is meant to take all this hassle away.

The Switch-to-Mac cable connects to a USB 2.0 port on each computer and comes with the Migration Assistant software that will transfer your files, settings and preferences from the PC to the Mac. According to the press release it seems to be limited to default folders, which could be a limitation for some.

At US$49.99 it seems like it might be worthwhile, especially as it takes a lot of hassle out of the upgrade and would save you loads of time. It's available now in the U.S. and will be available worldwide in February 2009.
