550W and 680W versions

The "green camp" AIB partner, BFG, has announced its newest additions to the LS and MX series of PSUs, the 550W and the 680W models. Both the LS and the MX series are designed with four +12V rails, both have an efficiency of over 80 percent and both are SLI/Crossfire certified.

The only differences that we could find between these two series is that the MX series has a modular design, while the LS has a bit larger fan. The MX series is cooled by a 120mm fan and has an 80mm “helper” fan, that activates only when needed, while the LS series features a single 135mm fan. Both series and all four models have a quad +12V rail design with 80 amps in total, just with a different maximum combined wattage of the +12V rail.

Both series are also backed by a five-year warranty. They can be found at Newegg.com with a price tag of US $109.99 for the 550W MX version and US $134.99 for the MX 680W version while the LS series is a bit cheaper at US $84.99 and US $119.99. Both series can also be found in Europe as well and you can check them out here.
