Maingear announces its Core i7 systems

The F131 and ePhex

Just in time for Christmas gift wrapping, Maingear has announced two new Core i7 based systems, the ePhex and F131 gaming systems.

Both systems will be available with Asus ROG X58 motherboards in combination with Core i7 920, 940 or 965 EE processors. All cases will be custom painted and supplied with a 1kW power supply. The new F131 system will be hooked up to Asetek's CPU cooling solution while the ePhex will be cooled by Maingear's X20 LCS for both CPU and graphics cards.

Other specs include up to 12GB of DDR3 memory, AMD's CrossfireX with two HD 4870 X2 or Nvidia's SLI with two GTX 280 cards and up to 2TB of hard drive space. Both systems are already available at Maingear.com with prices starting at US $2,999 for the ePhex and US $1,999 for the F131.
