Apple orders White House not to abandon Paris Accord

by on01 June 2017

It's like Apples and Oranges

The Grand Mufti of the fruity cargo-cult Apple, Tim Cook has been on the blower to the US President to tell him not to duck out of the Paris climate accord.

President Donald (Prince of Orange) Trump thinks that the climate change was something invented by the Chinese to stop US companies from making a lot of money.

Cook has been marking his outfit as “one of the greenest tech companies in the world” apparently rang the White House and told Trump to sling his hook. It's unclear who Cook spoke to within the White House, there is probably a very bemused Mexican cleaner wondering who she just spoke to, but apparently the call was made.

Several other business leaders and politicians have urged Trump not to pull the US out of the global pact. CEOs of 25 major corporations signed a letter in favour of the climate pact that is set to be published in The New York Times and The Wall Street Journal on Thursday, according to The Verge.

Elon Musk, the billionaire founder of Tesla, SpaceX, and PayPal, tweeted on Wednesday that he has done all he can to influence Trump's decision and if the Orangeman did not listen he would give up on advising him any further.

Musk sits on two of Trump's councils: an economic advisory board and the Manufacturing Jobs Initiative. Musk has come under fire for his proximity to the Trump administration — some people claimed they cancelled their Tesla Model 3 orders because of his involvement in the councils.
