27- and 32-inch CHG70 and 49-inch CHG90

Samsung has jumped on the AMD FreeSync 2 bandwagon with a total of three monitors, the CHG70 series, which will be available in 27-inch and 32-inch versions and the massive 49-inch CHG90 series monitor.

According to information provided by Samsung, all three monitors are based on a VA-panel with 1800R curvature, Quantum Dot technology, and HDR, and all three have pretty much the same specifications, except the obvious size and resolution differences. The 27-inch and 31.5-inch CHG70 series monitors will come with a 2560x1440 resolution VA-panel with standard 16:9 aspect ration, while the 49-inch CHG90 series monitor will have a 3840x1080 resolution panel, which leaves it with UltraWide 32:9 aspect ratio.

All three have the same 178-degree viewing angles, 1ms response time, cover 125 percent of sRGB and 95 percent of DCI-P3 color range as well as the 144Hz refresh rate and support for AMD FreeSync 2.

In case you missed it back when it was officially announced, the AMD FreeSync 2 generally brings better HDR support, Low Framerate Compensation (LFC), low-latency, high-brightness pixels, excellent black levels and a wide color gamut to display High Dynamic Range (HDR) content.

The CHG70 series monitors will feature two HDMI and single DisplayPort inputs as well as a dual USB 3.0 hub and include a dual hinge stand which supports height, tilt, swivel and pivot adjustments. The massive 49-inch CHG90 series monitor from Samsung will have DisplayPort, mini-DisplayPort and two HDMI inputs, the same USB 3.0 hub and comes with a HAS stand which supports height, tilt and swivel adjustments.

Samsung was also keen to note that it has teamed up with some content creators, specifically, EA studio DICE And Ghost Games, which made sure that those monitors are tuned to ensure optimal HDR picture quality on upcoming Star Wars Battlefront II and Need for Speed Payback games.

According to Samsung, the 49-inch CHG90 is already available for pre-order at Amazon.com and other retail stores for US $1499. The 32-inch CHG70 is currently available for exclusive pre-order at Newegg.com for US $699 while the 27-inch CHG70 is available directly from Samsung for US $599. Those at E3 2017 show will have a chance to get an early look at the 32-inch CHG70 in action at the Ubisoft booth.
