Canadian PC retailer Eurocom says it will start shipping a Core i7 powered laptop on May 1, and claims it will be the most powerful laptop on the market.

Taking a look at the impressive specs confirms this claim. Core i7 920, 940 and 965 processors are to be used. On the graphics side, Nvidia's G280, 9800GTX and Quadro FX3700 GPUs will make sure you never drop a frame.

It will feature a 17-inch WUXGA 1920x1200 or WSXGA+ 1600x1050 screen, up to 8GB of DDR3 memory and up to 1.5TB of storage on three 500GB drives with RAID 0,1,5 support.

Obviously, such a machine can't be light, or cheap for that matter, and at 5.4kg/11.9lbs and over $5000, it's neither.
