Dell's new Latitude XT2 tablet shows its face

Multi-touch and 11-hour battery


Dell has officially launched its new Latitude XT2 12.1-inch tablet that comes with multi-touch support, a 11-hour 6-cell battery, and a pretty impressive specifications. The new Latitude XT2 measures 297 x 220.6 x 27.4mm and weighs 1.72kg with a 6-cell battery. These are rather impressive numbers considering the specifications.

The new Dell Latitude XT2 has a 12.1-inch LED backlit capacitive touch-screen with a resolution of 1,280 x 800 pixels, up to 1.4GHz Intel Core 2 Duo ULV SU9400 processors paired up with the Montevina chipset and features integrated Intel GMA 4500MHD graphics.

Other specs include up to 5GB of DDR3 1066MHz memory, up to 120GB of standard hard drive space or a 128GB SSD, SATA optical drive, 802.11a/g/n WiFi and gigabit LAN, ExpressCard 54 slot and eSATA, two USB and Firewire.

This sweet new tablet comes with a rather bitter starting price tag of US $2399 and choice of Windows Vista Ultimate or Business as well as the Windows XP Tablet Edition as a downgrade option.
