Mobile notebooks distribution

Orange and HP are working together to distribute notebooks that connect to the world wide web. The three-year, European collaboration aims to add weight to the 100 million mobile broadband connections.

The deal, which was announced at Mobile World Congress, will see both companies co-distribute notebooks and HP Minis with either mobile or fixed broadband connectivity. In a press release the Orange said that demand for mobile broadband was a global phenomenon and by adding a select range of HP Notebooks and Minis to its successful portfolio of connected offers is just the start.

It said that the pair will come up with new ways to bring services to customers, from co-marketing activities through to distribution, supply chain and care. This will make it easy for everyone to access the internet and their content, whenever and wherever they want, the statement said.

One of the plans is to offer the  Compaq Mini 700 which is available with a connection for £30 a month.
