Redmond wants economies

Temporary workers
hired to work at Microsoft by Volt Workforce Solutions, have been forced to take a 10 percent as a result of the Redmond company's decision to reduce the amount it pays employment firms. Volt is the biggest hirer of Microsoft temporary workers.

According to an email sent to Redmond workers, Volt said its workers were lucky to have jobs as the world was suffering from the economic downturn, in case they didn't notice. Redmond had insisted on a reduction in billing for all current Volt Agency

Temporary Workers and the outfit decided that a pay cut was the best way forward. However the outfit requires them to vote for their pay cut, which seems a bit on the nose. There is no indication what will happen if the workers say 'no'.

The email said “The world is struggling and we are challenged to consider the economy as a whole and what is happening beyond our own current situation. Please know that even though we are in an economic crisis, we will continue to work hard to identify new opportunities for employment as well as offer competitive pay for the advancement of your career.”
