Looks slightly better than the G12

We weren't much impressed by ASRock's 12-inch G12 notebook, but the M15 looks set to be at least slightly better, not only in terms of specifications, but also in terms of the overall design. That doesn't mean it's an amazingly great looking notebook, but if the starting price that Digitimes dug up last week is right, then we're sure that people on a budget will be interested.

Feature wise we're looking at a 15.6-inch display with a lousy 1,366x768 resolution (yes, it's HD but so what?), a Pentium (dual core mobile) or Celeron CPU, Intel's GL40 chipset with integrated graphics, support for up to 4GB of DDR2 memory, up to 500GB of hard drive space, a DVD drive, 802.11b/g/n WiFi, a 1.3 Megapixel web cam and a memory card reader.

The M15 also has four USB 2.0 ports, a D-sub connector, a pair of audio jacks, onboard Ethernet and a good old fashioned dial up modem. Finally it has a multi-touch track pad and for some reason ASRock has implemented an overclocking feature. At 2.6kg it's not that heavy for a 15.6-inch notebook, but it seems to be quite wide and thick at 380x260x35.5mm.
