Taiwanese toilet maker enters PC market

We're not sure if Digitimes picked up on a late April fools here or not, but according to a story they sourced from Commercial Times, Taiwanese HCG, a maker of various bathroom wares, such as toilets, sinks etc. has entered the PC components market.

HCG is said to be making ceramic PC accessories and cases, which sounds very strange, as we can't really see the benefit. The kind of ceramics used in bathroom wares is also both heavy and brittle and it makes little sense to use this for PC accessories and cases.

Supposedly both Asus and AU Optronics are in talks with HCG, as well as a range of other Taiwanese PC vendors. Let's just hope they opt for differentiating designs so there won't be any confusion during the early hours of the morning...
