It is starting to look like Elan Microelectronics patent infringement case against Apple might have legs.

Elan claims that it invented the touch screen and Apple fan boys have been rushing to the defence of Jobs Mob to shout 'patent troll' at the outfit. However Elan has replied by releasing footage of the technology in action.  It shows off what Elan calls "eFinger Transparent Touchpad," which appears to be running on top of the Android platform.

The multi-touch feature zooms in and out, and we guess that Elan had this before Apple had the iPhone. If this is the case then it looks like Elan is not depending on its patent paperwork to go against Jobs' Mob.  It will be in court with technology that it invented before Apple got its act together.  This will not look good for Apple in court.
