Only for Mac, at least for now

Got a new Mac? Need a cheap display with mini Displayport? Well, as long as you don't mind waiting until September and you live in the US, then CinemaView might have the product you've been waiting for. CinemaView is prepping 19, 20.1 and 24-inch models starting from US$299, all of which will have a mini Displayport connector.

The 19-inch model has a native resolution of 1,440x900, the 20.1-inch model ups this to 1,680x1,050 and finally the 24-inch version offers a resolution of 1,920x1080.All three models comes with a 1.2m captive cable which offers a mini Displayport, a 3.5mm audio jack and a USB 2.0 port. The displays offer three powered USB 2.0 ports around the back and one 3.5mm audio jacks for speakers or headphones.

The 19-inch version will retail for US$299 (€225/£200), the 20.1-inch model for US$399 (€300/£268) and finally the 24-inch model for US$499 (€377/£335). We can't say that we're overly keen on the design which looks like a bad rip-off of Apple's own designs, but at least the price points are quite reasonable.
