iStock flogged design several times

The bloke
who designed Twitter's 'logo' ended up with a little bit more cash than $6, Istock have told us.

Simon Oxley's designed Twitter's logo and it has been all over the net. However according to Wired Oxley only collected $6 because he flogged the design through iStock.

An Istock spokesperson has been on the blower telling us that its designs are sold many times. Simon has done quite well for himself at iStock. That particular bird  image of his has been sold more than 400 times and is still available for purchase. And that is just a single image.

The spokesperson pointed out that the bird on Twitter, is a design, not really a "logo." It may have become very recognisable with their brand, but Twitter's logo is its name and not the bird design. (Tell that to CNN's Twitter addicted anchors. sub.ed.)
