Smug cure of the day

While man,
plus dog, gets all hysterical about swine flu, it was only a matter of time before someone came up with an application for the iPhone which sort of fights it.

IntuApps, has released Swine Flu Tracker, waiting for approval from Apple before it's released into the App Store. IntuApps' Barry Schwartz, designed the phone so that Apple users can see the current Threat Level, a map showing confirmed and suspected cases, a symptoms area to inform people, and an alert page for breaking news on Swine Flu.

IntuApps will be giving the app away for free when it is available in the App Store. However the question is what will it do? If 40 per cent of the world come down with the illness and some die, how will watching the epidemic on your iPhone help?

But perhaps the biggest nightmare would be if the application did somehow help and the only people left in the world after a Swine flu epidemic were Apple fans.
