All you need with an SSD

Kingston has announced two SSD kits that include an SSD and everything else you need in order to use it as a desktop or portable drive. It will be available with 80 or 160GB capacity Intel X25-M SSD drive.

In addition to the X25-M SSD with 250MB/s and 70MB/s read and write speeds, the bundle itself includes 2.5-inch to 3.5-inch drive bay mounting brackets and screws, a 2.5-inch enclosure with USB interface, SATA and power cable, and the Acronis True Image drive cloning software.

Both kits are backed by a three year warranty and should be priced at $427.50 for the 80GB version and US $843 for the 160GB version.

This bundle sounds like a great idea, especially if you know that it adds about US $10 to the price of the actual SSD without the bundle, and with it Kingston definitely has an edge over the competition.

In fact, TechGage has a write-up of the entire bundle and cloning software that can be found here.
