Something completely different

Remember Antec's crazy Skeleton case launched a while back? Well, someone at Antec has put it in a Xerox, pressed the 50% button and voila, we got a Mini-ITX version.

The plain skeleton is bonkers enough, but the tiny one looks even more impressive. Measuring just 19 x 21 x 23 cm, and weighing 2.5kg, the Mini Skeleton 90 offers a 5.25-inch external drive bay, four 2.5-inch internal bays and a 150mm fan on the top, with speed control and blue LEDs. At the back there's a second, 70mm fan, two USBs and audio connectors.

We've always moaned about the lack of ITX cases to go along with Atom boards, and over the past few months quite a few vendors have launched good looking HTPC models. The Skeleton is not really an HTPC case, but in case you're into steampunk, or you just want a crazy looking Atom or ION which will turn heads, this could be the thing for you.

It should hit the shelves soon, for about $99 in the States or €80 in Euroland.
