God, guns, guts and American pick-up trucks

A truck dealer in Clay County, Missouri, has come up with a novel way to increase his sales and draw attention to his website.

Mark Muller, owner of Max Motors, is giving away a free AK-47 assault rifle with every vehicle sold. The cunning plan seems to have worked, and in an interview with CNN Muller said that it spiked his company's web traffic. He estimates his dealership sold 35 more cars during the promotion than it would have without it.

Mueller is obviously a great fan of the Second Amendment, and his company motto is: "God, Guns, Guts and American Pick-up Trucks." He says the local community is facing a huge crime problem, and that decent citizens need something more than a handgun to protect themselves.

"There's a tremendous crime problem around here with people doing meth. These people have lost their souls. They don't care about you. They don't care about me. They care about getting more dope."

Muller says he's hoping to sell 100 extra vehicles thanks to the online promotion, and next year he's hoping the increased web traffic generated by the assault rifle marketing scheme will land him 200 extra vehicle sales.
