There are plans to turn the popular vampire romance flick
Twilight into a MMORPG.
The move, which could clean out US malls of anyone under
the age of 14, will turn thousands into virtual Bellas or Edwards. It is being developed by BrainJunk Studios and Brandon
Gardener, head of the software development for the project described it as an
open non-linear world set around Forks.
Players will get to explore the world, and “discover new
amazing things” that are not even covered in the book or the movie. We
guess that means that there will be no ham acting, bad haircuts or irritating
romantic teen angst plots.
Gardener based the story line around Twilight and
Midnight Sun so players can play from Edward or Bella’s perspective. He also
wants to include New Moon so players can experience phasing into a werewolf.
It is not known when the game will get out of
development, but there is no doubt when it is ready it will be about as popular
as the film.
