Sony acknowledges 3.0 OS problems

Finally some good news for Sony: the sales of the new PlayStation 3 slim model have been very good in both Japan and Europe. In Japan alone, the company was able to move 150,252 consoles in the first three days of release.

The PS3 Slim launch in Japan was less than ideal, according to our sources. A lack of product, coupled with a poor advertising effort for the launch, causes a number of problems for Japanese retailers selling the new console.

All is not right in Sony PS3 land, however, with a number of users reporting problems with the latest 3.0 code and Uncharted when playing it with the DualShock 3 controller. Sony claims that they are aware of the reports and the potential problems, but they are still investigating and will provide an update when they know what the issue is.
