Adult video production companies want to cash in on the console craze and are looking to make their adult video titles available to verified adults on console systems.

According to what we hear, Sony has done a deal in Japan to bring on-demand HD quality adult movies to the console from DDM.TV. Of course, adult verification is a must and we don’t think anyone has any illusions about the fact that this has to be in place, and something that the console providers are comfortable with.

While no deal has been reached yet in North America, our sources claim that in view of the DDM.TV deal in Japan, Sony might be more willing to at least discuss the possibility.  Untapped and virgin revenue sources (pun intended) certainly make this an attractive venture. Adult producers are thrilled at the potential of a new revenue stream, and they see no reason why verifiable adult console owners should not be able to have access to this streaming (and steaming) content.

We have to admit that we never thought that we would see the day where porn on a gaming system was even a possibility; but it does appear that some are going to at least test the waters to see what happens.  The real question may become how can mom and dad make sure that junior isn’t using their identities when they aren’t around to watch hot sex videos after school instead of doing his homework?  This certainly won’t be Luigi and Mario material!
