New Wireless Controller Game Pack announced

As we had told you last week, Microsoft has now officially confirmed its Xbox 360 Elite holiday bundle for this year. No surprises really, as Microsoft confirmed that the Xbox 360 Elite holiday bundle will include Lego Batman and Pure.

Beyond the two games, the holiday bundle will include the same configuration that the Elite has been available in previously with one black wireless controller, a 120GB hard drive, and the lack of any HD cable as has been the norm since the last repackage of the Elite configuration. With the two-pack of titles for the holidays, Microsoft has confirmed that the price of the Xbox Elite 306 holiday bundle will remain at $299 USD for the holiday season.

The additional surprise that we received today came in the form of a newly announced Wireless Controller Game Pack that will retail for $59.99 USD. Beyond the additional Black Wireless controller, the Wireless Controller Game Pack will include Geometry Wars: Retro Evolved 2, Lumines LIVE!, Bomberman LIVE!, and Ms. Pac-Man classic. In addition, the package will include a 48-hour Xbox LIVE Gold trial to let you see what Xbox Live has to offer.  All in all, it is not a bad deal and a great way to add some solid XBLA titles should you be a new user or need an additional controller. From the way that we understand it, Geometry Wars: Retro Evolved 2, Lumines LIVE!, and Bomberman LIVE! will be included on the enclosed disc, while Ms. Pac-Man classic will be delivered on a downloadable token that is packed in the box.

Both the Xbox 360 Elite holiday bundle and the Wireless Controller Game Pack started shipping to retailers today and will be on dealer shelves shortly.

As for the rumored additional title for the Xbox 360 Arcade for the holiday season, Microsoft surprisingly made no announcement about a change in what will be included with the Arcade system. Our sources tell us that Microsoft is still evaluating the situation and still will likely announce an additional title to be added to the Arcade for the holiday season, but a final decision on what title it will be has not been reached yet.
