Delay and new screen confirmed

Guys from British Reghardware site had a nice hands on with the new, redesigned and delayed Asus Eee Keyboard. Previously seen over at Netbooknews.com, the new Asus Eee Keyboard will get a capacitive touchscreen, an external Wi-Fi antenna, a Broadcom chip that will give it 1080p playback, and a delay to Q1 2010.

According to the post, Asus has decided to swap its previous 5-inch resistive touchscreen with a capacitive panel, the same one that can be found in the iPhone or other high-end models and which should provide better touch response for Eee Keyboard's 800 x 480 screen.

In addition to the different touch panel that will also get a gesture control features, Asus has also decided to include an external WiFi antenna as the metallic body had a lot to do with reduced Wi-Fi signal.

We still hope that Asus has decided to keep the Broadcom chip that will give it an ability to play 1080p video content, and that Asus' Eee Keyboard will finally show in retail, but for now it's Q1 2010.
