In addition to the big announcement that should be up today at 9:00 a.m., PST, Nvidia has apparently cooked up a few minor ones, including the Geforce PC Kit and a bunch of OEM-only Geforce GT 300 series cards.

The big announcement (hopefully Fermi related) is just around the corner, but in the meantime Nvidia has launched a couple of other new products as well including the Geforce PC Barebone kit and couple of OEM-only Geforce GT 300 series cards which we will talk about a bit more in a separate article.

The Geforce PC Barebone kit is basically a DIY system without a monitor, and includes a motherboard with pre-installed CPU and cooler, graphics card, memory, PSU, HDD and optical drive, keyboard and mouse and a case so you can pack it all inside. It even includes a screwdriver so basically all you need is a monitor to plug in once you are done with the assembly and your own operating system to install.

The full specs of this Geforce PC kit include a MSI G31TM-P21 motherboard based on Intel's G31 chipset with pre-installed Intel Dual Core E5300 CPU and GlacialTech Igloo 5058 cooler, 2GB of Corsair Value Select DDR2 667 memory, Seagate Momentus 7200.4 250GB HDD, LG DVD RW optical drive, XFX 9800GT 512MB graphics card, Ultra LifeTime series 500W PSU and Microsoft Basic mouse and Comfort Curve 2000 keyboard. The included Cooler Master Elite 334 Nvidia case is also a nice touch and adds to overall look of the system.

We won't comment on the choice of the components or their quality, but the kit still makes sense for those first-time builders. On the other hand, enthusiasts will buy their own components anyway.
