Ubisoft says half its games will be 3D

Ubisoft
has said 3D gaming will be an option in half of all new games by 2012.

In recent investors' call the outfit said that they will it was expecting to see more 3D games available on the on XBox360 and PS3 but also on portable machines.

"We can count on substantial grown in the 3D market just because it's more immersive, so it will be a good way for the industry to give even more emotion to the gamers," they commented.

Next year more than 15-20 percent of games will be 3D on next-gen consoles ... and the following year will be at least half of the games will be.

The watershed will be when Nintendo reveals the Nintendo 3DS - a handheld with 3D capability without glasses at E3/ Recently the PS3 was recently updated to support 3D TV sets which have begun hitting the market.
