Push for growth

Sony is launching a $100 million marketing campaign in the US to peddle its big-screen televisions
It is the largest the campaign that Sony has attempted and comes as retail chains and consumers gear up for Christmas shopping.
The company wants to see "double-digit growth" in revenue from Sony's high-definition products this Christmas.

Most big-screen TVs cost more than $1,000, and Sony believes that growth may have been limited due to confusion over the different types of HD products and whether consumers' homes receive HD video.
