Zilence is golden

After all the dust around the launch of ATI's HD 4870 X2 card has settled, MSI decided to unveil two new Nvidia based cards, the MSI N9800GT Zilent and the mainstream MSI N9500GT-MD512Z/D2.

The MSI N9800GT Zilent 1G is based on Nvidia's old G92 GPU which is manufactured in 65nm process, while the 55nm version should follow soon. The card is a part of MSI's overclocked edition series and the card will work at 660MHz for the GPU and it will come with 512MB of GDDR3 memory overclocked to 1,900MHz. That's a 60MHz overclock for the core and 100MHz overclock for the memory. The card has 112 Stream processors and the shaders got overclocked from the reference 1,500MHz to 1,625MHz. Due to its overclocked settings, the card is cooled by Zalman's dual heatpipe cooler.

The second card is the passively cooled N9500GT-MD512Z/D2 which comes with 32 Stream processors and runs at 550MHz for the core. It comes with 512MB of GDDR2 memory clocked at 500MHz (1,000MHz) while the shader clocks are at 1,400MHz. MSI always did a great job when it comes to passively cooled mainstream cards. The heatpipe cooling in question has two heatpipes which are conneted to a large heatsink located on the card's back.

The new N9800GT Zilent should hit retail soon while the N9500GT-MD512Z/D2 is already listed and the lowest price that we could find stands at €61,24. You can find it listed here.

Here are the pictures of both cards.
