Sources close to Intel have confirmed a long running rumour that Intel is hiring graphics people. Intel is looking for engineers, graphics driver guys, managers, directors, sales and marketing people, and just about anything else that a graphics company might need.

Intel lacks stuff and has enough money to offer ATI / Nvidia people a decent pay raise. This won’t change the fact that Larrabee is out for a very hard birth as it’s doomed to have many software issues, especially with game compatibility and drivers.

The new strategy is to hire as many experienced people, especially from ATI and Nvidia to try to make things as good as they can. We cannot argue that this is a good, but at the same time a very expensive strategy.
