Just over three months after it was announced FSC's Amilo Sa3650 was listed earlier this morning. It's still not available, but after waiting for three months, one more week shouldn't make much of a difference anyway.
The Sa3650 is the first and thus far only notebook to support AMD's XGP external graphics. FSC calls its XGP module Amilo GraphicBooster and it packs an HD3870 card, offering a five fold increase in 3D performance over the integrated Radeon HD3200.
Apart from this novel feature, the Sa3650 is not a breathtaking piece of hardware. It's based on AMD's Puma platform, has a 2.4GHz Turion X2 Ultra ZM-84 CPU, 4 Gigs of memory, a 320GB hard drive and a 13.3-inch 1280x800 screen.
The lowest list price currently stands at €1124 and it should be available within a week. No word on XGP module availability or pricing yet, but we'll keep our eyes open.
