On the record

Most of
us missed a big news where Jensen Huang, the CEO of Nvidia, told Joanne Feeney from FTN Midwest on the record that Nvidia doesn’t expect any more write-downs in the future related to this notebook chip issue.

Nvidia is always telling the world that this is an issue that affects only a few notebook chips and that it is dependent on the notebook environment. Jensen also said that "this doesn't happen to all of our chips and it doesn't happen to most of the notebooks that are out there. There are only a few examples of them in all the notebooks that have shipped."

Nvidia said many times that they don't expect the same issue on desktop chips and Jensen and the rest of Nvidia believe that the allocated money should be enough to cover all problems.

Most analysts are very concentrated on this issue and we believe that this has been seriously overblown, like nothing else in Nvidia’s history. The big question remains, who is actually responsible for such a huge mistake that costs the company up to $200 million.
