In the EU

We've heard that Nvidia has decided to axe five partners. We still don’t know their names but we’ve heard that Foxconn and Club 3D might be on that list.

We will try to get more details who are the other three but the decision has been made and these partners will be cut in Europe. The number of partners will drop to a more reasonable level as with twenty four partners it is very hard to make money, especially if you don’t have the sexiest product around, which is the case with Nvidia today.

Nvidia's decision will leave some long faces but they have to cut the weak to give a better chance for the big ones to survive. The alternative was that a few remaining who are still loyal to Nvidia only would consider going for the ATI, just as Gainward did and this would be a very unpleasant situation for Nvidia.
