Two cards, both low profile

Force3D also did its part for the RV710 launch day by announcing two new cards, one for each series. Both cards will have a low profile PCB and both will be passively cooled.

Force3D's HD 4550 will work at 600MHz for the core, and it will feature 512MB of GDDR3 memory clocked at 1,600MHz. As every other HD 4550, this one will also have a 64-bit memory interface. Force3D has decided to use a passive cooling solution for this one. The heatsink is a bit larger than the PCB, but low profile HTPC cases are always a bit larger than the low profile bracket so there shouldn't be any problems with this card.

The HD 4350 works at the same core clock, but comes with DDR2 memory clocked at 800MHz. Same as the HD 4550, this one also has a 64-bit memory interface, and comes with the same passive cooling heatsink. Both cards will feature DirectX 10.1 support, 80 stream processors, built in HDMI, and support for CrossfireX.

According to the Force3D press release, the HD 4550 will give you P1143 marks in 3DMark Vantage and around 2772 in 3DMark06. On the other hand, the lower priced HD 4350 scores P641 and 1665, respectively.
