The power change

We've talked to a few people selling ATI and they all tell us that their sales are doing great and that the demand at the moment is much greater than for Nvidia-based cards.

We've noticed that especially Radeon HD 4870 and 4850 got most of the customer hearts and they are selling like hot cakes. Also, people are adopting the 4670 and 4650 cards rather fast, as they are even more affordable.

Nvidia kind of disappointed British customers with its 9800GTX+ and 8800GT renamed to 9800GT, as these cards are not enough to beat Radeon 4870 and 4850, and they cost the same or similar. The U.K. is not the sole case, as we are hearing that all over Europe the demand for ATI cards is up while people want less Nvidia these days.

This is not a happy story if you are selling Nvidia-based cards, but most of Nvidia AIBs are selling both, so for them this is a win - win situation, anyway.
