HIS has updated its HD 4000 series with a new card, the RV730 based HD 4650 iSilence 4. The new HIS HD 4650 iSilence 4 card works at 600MHz for the GPU and comes with 512MB of GDDR2 memory clocked at 1,000MHz with a 128-bit memory interface.

The RV730 GPU on the HD 4650 cards feature 320 stream processors. HIS has decided to use the triple heatpipe, Zalman VNF100 passive cooler for this card which comes with a VFP (Variable Fin Profile) design.

The cooler takes two slots, if you bear in mind that the main heatsink is located on the back of the card and connected to the RV730 core via three heatpipes. As was the case with all other HD 4650 cards on the market, this one also comes with PCI-Express 2.0 x16, CrossfireX and DirectX 10.1 support.
