Zotac announces new DisplayPort cards

Based on the 9400GT and 9500GT

Zotac has announced two new cards with DisplayPort connectivity, the 9400GT DP and 9500GT DP editions. In addition to a DVI and HDMI port, these entry-level cards will also feature a single DisplayPort connector.

According to Carsten Berger, Zotac's marketing director, DisplayPort equipped displays are the future of the display industry and are getting more widely available and affordable. According to Carsten Berger, Zotac thinks that now is the right time to provide users with an affordable solution that has DiplayPort capabilities.

The 9400GT DP cards works at 550MHz for the GPU, has 16 Stream processors with the Shaders clocked at 1,400MHz and comes with 512MB of GDDR2 memory clocked at 800MHz with a 128-bit memory interface.

The Geforce 9500GT card is also clocked at 550Mz, but it has 32 Stream processors clocked at 1,375MHz and comes with 512MB of GDDR3 memory clocked at 1,600MHz, also with a 128-bit memory interface.

Both cards are cooled by a single slot cooling solution with a small fan and both feature support for DirectX 10 and Shader Model 4.0.
