Custom made EK water block

We managed to score more pictures of Powercolor's limited edition water cooled LCS HD 4870. The card works at 800MHz for the GPU and comes with 512MB of GDDR5 memory clocked at 3.8GHz. Of course, with decent water cooling setup higher clock settings should be possible, but unfortunately as this is a limited edition card it will be available in limited quantities of 200 pieces.

According to our source, this water block isn't a regular EK water block, as Powercolor has its own design so the water block is custom made exclusively for this card. The unusual fact is that this card will be shipped without its own water block, but at least the price will be much lower, and it gives users more freedom in using their own water cooling setups.

The only requirement that we are aware of is that the water cooling setup must have the capacity to dissipate 160 Watts of heat and must have tubing with 3/8" or 1/2" inner diameter. The card will be shipped with DVI to CRT dongle, S to AV cable, HDTV cable, and an HDMI dongle. The bundle will also include two high flow fittings for both 3/8" and 1/2" tubing, two tubing clamps and two distancers with O-ring.

According to our sources, the card should sell for about €299, depending on the etailer/retailer. This might sound a bit too much, but bear in mind that it comes with high-performance and high-quality custom made water blocks that are usually even more expensive.
