Both low profile and with native HDMI

Sparkle has launched two new cards based on the Geforce 9600GT and 9800GT GPUs. Both cards are using a low-profile PCB and both cards come with a native HDMI output. This looks like a smart strategy. as Sparkle is launching the card on Xmas eve, as they know that there won't be many companies doing such a thing.

The 9800GT Low Profile works at 600MHz and comes with 512MB of GDDR3 memory clocked at 1,800MHz. This card features 112 stream processors working at 1,500MHz. The slower 9600GT has a higher core clock set at 650MHz and comes with the same 512MB of GDDR3 memory working at 1,800MHz. This card packs 96 stream processors which are clocked at 1,625MHz.

As these cards are low profile. Sparkle only had room to pack a single DVI and an HDMI connector on the card's backplate. The cooling on both cards is apparently done by a rather large dual-slot heatsink cooled by a small fan. These two cards pack quite a punch, considering their low profile PCB, and could bring a decent gaming experience to those small HTPCs.

The availability date and the price are unfortunately unknown, but we will surely keep an eye out for these two.
