Some retailers just don't like to adhere to NDA's, launch and availability dates, much like us, and the first GTX 285 cards are already available in the United States of Europaland.

Asus' reference ASUS ENGTX285/HTDP/1GD3 is currently available at €359, which isn't bad compared to the GTX 280, but ATI's dual GPU HD4870 X2 costs the same, and the GTX 285 won't have it easy. We're still expecting it to retail at around €330 once it becomes widely available.

If Nvidia's new 55nm cards are to make a dent in ATI sales, the pricing will probably have to be a bit more aggressive.
