Price adjustment worked

The recent price adjustment of Radeon HD 4870 X2 has worked. The card sales are still good, despite the fact that Geforce GTX 295 is the fastest card on the block.

The cheapest Radeon 4870 X2 now sells for €368, depending on the vendor and bundle, which is 15 percent less that its previous listing. Geforce GTX 295 is becoming available for average €450 making quite a bit price difference.

A single slot Radeon HD 4870 512MB has recently dropped from €180 to €170, putting even more pressure of Geforce GTX 260. The 1 GB HD 4870 still sells around the €200 mark but it looks that people prefer to pay more to get more memory. The cheapest 65nm GTX 260 is selling for €210 while the cheapest 55nm GTX 260 sells in Germany for €256.99. ATI's HD4850 X2, on the other hand, sells for just €215, which is a great offer.

All in all ATI cards are still attractive, but Nvidia sales are definitely picking up.
