Pricing stable

ATI might ignite the price war as Nvidia has a better offer in high end, but as far as Nvidia is concerned, it doesn’t plan to start any price wars.

Nvidia is more in the renaming business these days, as they haven’t really got anything new for ages in the mainstream market, and they will keep rebranding G92b chip until the end of the time. The next two chips to come are GTS 250 and 240, both based on the good old G92b 55nm.

Nvidia is quite happy with its market share in high end, and the company said that it is gaining market share back in the high end and. Jensen told investors that he is confident that customers will recognize Nvidia has a few advantages such as 3D vision, Cuda, PhysX and many Cuda based applications that can speed up things like multimedia encoding.

ATI does have the RV740 coming in April time or a bit later, and we believe that this chip might be able to outperform G92b cards but we really don’t know the performance of this chip.
