Coming in two versions

MSI has officially launched its new N260GTX Lightning card that was previously showcased at CeBIT. The card will be available in two versions, the N260GTX Lightning and N260GTX Lightning Black Edition.

Both cards are based on Nvidia's GTX 260 GPU with 216 SPs and work at 680MHz for the GPU, 1,458MHz for shaders and 2,100MHz for the 1792MB of GDDR3 memory. The only difference is that the Black Edition card will come in a special package and will include MSI's AirForce panel. The AirForce panel is a neat looking hardware overclocking touch panel that can be used for voltage and clock adjustment.

Another good thing about the Lightning edition is that it will feature MSI's dual slot Twin Frozr cooler with two fans and five heatpipes which we had a chance to see in our review of MSI's GTX 285 card. The card will also use Hi-C Cap and solid capacitors, 8+2 phase power design, 10-layer PCB and it will feature v-check points for easy voltage check for those that are planning high overclock ventures.

The card has D-Sub, DVI and HDMI outputs. Unfortunately, as always, MSI didn't announce the price of these two cards.
