Two weeks after launch

According to our info, the first non-reference HD 4770 card should be announced in the second week of May. Some partners might even manage to announce their cards at the end of the first week, while some will have to wait for the second week of May.

Many will be happy to know that partners are already planning non-reference cards. The problem is that the price might not exactly end up at US $99 card anymore. This solely depends on the type of the cooler that various partners plan to use.

AMD's HD 4770 has got our full attention even with the first preview that went up a while ago, and at $99 this card might sell like hot cakes, especially if the rumored performance is really that close to the HD 4850 card.

Oh, and did we mention that this sub-$99 card is based on the first 40nm desktop GPU?
