Inno3D has announced three new cards that will be a part of its E-save edition. All three cards doesn't require the extra PCI-E power connector, and will have a 40 percent lower power consumption in 3D mode when compared to regular cards based on the same GPU. The first three cards that will be a part of Inno3D's E-save series are the 9800GT, 9600GT and the 9600GSO.

The first one is based on Nvidia's 9800GT GPU and has 112 stream processors and works at 550MHz for the core, 1,500MHz for shaders and 1,800MHz for the memory. The second one, the 9600GT E-Save, has 64 stream processors and works at 600MHz for the core, 1,625MHz for shaders and 1,400MHz for memory. The third one, the 9600GSO has 48 stream processors, and has a lower shader clock when compared to the 9600GT as it works at 600MHz for the core, 1,500MHz for shaders and 1,400MHz for memory.

All three cards use a 256-bit memory interface in combination with either 512MB or 1GB of GDDR3 memory. The difference between the regular 9-series cards and Inno3D's E-Save series is that these use G94-350/359 55nm GPUs, feature enabled idle mode and phase switching thanks to a new PCB design and run at 1.0V for the core.

The rest of the specifications are not changed except for the fact that there's no need for a 6-pin PCI-E power connector. As can be seen from the picture below, at least two of these cards will use a big cooler to cool the GPU.
