Powercolor will also have a 1GHz HD 4890 card, which should be announced soon. The card will be similar to the already announced Powercolor HD 4890 PCS+ and will use the same Zerotherm cooler.

We know that Powercolor did something to tweak the voltage, but we still don't know if it will need 8-pin and 6-pin power connectors instead of the regular two 6-pin. The card will work at 1GHz for the core and the memory will probably work at 1,100MHz. The new card will be cooled by Zerotherm's cooler that was also used with Powercolor's PCS+ series and you can check it out here.

Powercolor should announce this card pretty soon.
