Top notch GTX 260

Sparkle has announced its latest addition to its premium Calibre line, the new Calibre X265/X265HM. The card is based on Nvidia's 55nm GTX 260 GPU paired up with Sparkle's non-reference black PCB and its premium Calibre Dual Fly cooler.

The specs include 216 stream processors, 896MB of GDDR3 memory paired up with a 448-bit memory interface, a regular core, shaders and memory clock of 576, 1242 and 1998MHz. The 2nd generation of the Calibre Dual Fly cooler really looks impressive. It is based on the same design as the previous one and has two fans, but this time Sparkle went for serious cooling power as this one has four heatpipes, two 8 and two 6mm, aluminium base and nine so called "aluminium pillars".

We already mentioned regular clock speeds as this one comes with Sparkle's SPA Tune overclocking software which switches cards clocks between standard (STD), overclocking (OC) and green (GRN) modes. In green mode the card works at 400, 800 and 600MHz for core, shaders and memory, while in overclocking mode it goes all the way to 666MHz for the core, 1476MHz for shaders and 2268MHz for memory.

Unfortunately, the price of this premium GTS 260 hasn't been released but we will surely keep our eye out for this one.
