There has been some talk around the net about the Radeon HD 4860
and the Radeon HD 4750 cards that tipped up on INPAI, a Chinese web
site, and some info hinted that these might as well show up in Europe.
We did a bit of checking, and we can now confirm that AMD doesn't plan
to launch these cards outside of China, at least not in near future.
The Chinese market is usually quite different than Europe or the
States, and it's no wonder that these new cards are exclusive for
Chinese market. The HD 4860, which should start to ship on August 18th,
and this addition to the sub US $150 graphics card market might have a
bright future in China.
The HD 4750 on the other hand, should go head to head with the HD 4770
as it only has a lower core clock and it should have less overclocking
headroom due to the absence of the 6-pin power connector.
Due to the fact that 40nm yields aren't that great we expect this
one to be quite rare, even though it will only be available in China,
but with the US $88 price tag, it will surely be popular.
Even one of the AIB partners that sells its cards in Europe also told
us that they do not plan to introduce these cards as AMD plans them
only for Chinese market.
