iBUYPOWER announces three DirectX 11 ready gaming PCs

As many
of you know, the recent launch of AMD’s latest 5xxx series brought the world’s first DirectX 11-capable graphics cards to the playing field. Now it’s time for the enthusiast PC manufacturers to assemble some incredibly high-speed systems to show off the performance of these magical cards.

iBUYPOWER just announced three upcoming gaming PCs titled Gamer Fire 480, Gamer Fire 600 and Gamer Mage 855, respectively. These systems are pre-configured with AMD’s latest Radeon HD 5850 1GB and Radeon HD 5870 1GB cards based on 40nm architecture. Additionally, they are all equipped with AMD’s Phenom II series dual-core, triple-core and quad-core processors.

The Gamer Mage 480 is equipped with a dual-core Phenom II X2 550 3.1GHz processor and an ASUS M4A78 Plus motherboard supporting one PCI-E 2.0x16 card or two of them in x16/x8 CrossFire mode. The default card included is the Radeon HD 5850 1GB. Additional specs include 4GB of DDR2 800MHz, Gigabit Ethernet, nine USB 2.0 ports, eSATA, 7.1-channel audio with optical output, your choice of a 320GB 7200RPM or 500GB 7200RPM drive, and a 700W power supply by default.

The Gamer Mage 600 is equipped with a triple-core Phenom II X3 720 2.8GHz processor and a Gigabyte GA-MA790XT-UD4P supporting  one PCI-E 2.0 x16 card or two of them in x16/x8 CrossFire mode. The default card included with this configuration is the Radeon HD 5870 1GB. Additional specs include 4GB of DDR2 800MHz, Gigabit Ethernet, eight USB 2.0 ports, two FireWire 1394a ports, 7.1-channel audio with optical output, your choice of a 320GB 7200RPM or 500GB 5200RPM drive, and a 700W power supply by default.

Finally, the enthusiast-class Gamer Mage 855 is equipped with a quad-core Phenom II X4 965 Black Edition 3.4GHz processor and an ASUSM4A79 Deluxe motherboard supporting dual PCI-E 2.0 x16 cards in x16/x16 CrossFire mode, triple cards in x16/x16/x8 mode or four cards in x8/x8/x8/x8 mode. The default GPU included with this configuration is the Radeon HD 5870 1GB. Additional specs include 4GB of DDR2 800MHz, Gigabit Ethernet, six USB 2.0 ports, one FireWire 1394a port, eSATA, 7.1-channel audio with optical and coaxial outputs, a 1TB 7200RPM drive, LG 8x Blu-ray ROM drive, and an 800W power supply by default.

All three systems are currently equipped with Windows Vista Home Premium 64-bit but they each come with free upgrade options to Windows 7. At the same time, AMD is advertising its new EyeFinity technologyon its new Radeon HD 5-series cards which allows for some massively parallel multi-taskingand conferencing abilities.

The new Radeon HD 5850 and Radeon HD 5870 equipped systemsfrom iBUYPOWER are now available onthe company’s site for $819, $899 and $1449 respectively in their default configurations.
