Should be ready for CES 2010

A picture of MSI's upcoming HD 5870 Lightining Edition PCB has shown up online and we must say that it looks really interesting. MSI's Lightning Edition cards are usually top-notch overclocking friendly cards and we are quite sure that the HD 5870 version will not be any different, at least judging from the picture of the PCB and the overclocking potential of the HD 5870.

The PCB picture shows some quite interesting details, for example dual 8-pin PCI-Express connectors which will provide much more juice than dual 6-pin ones on the reference card. This should provide additional overclocking potential as well as more stability.

The HD 5870 Lightning Edition card appears to be wider than the reference one which is strange as this is the first time that some manufacturer decided to make the card wider rather than longer. We will most likely see a dual slot, dual fan cooling solution that we had a chance to see on most Lightning Edition cards, but that is yet to be confirmed.

the card will probably be clocked at reference values but we are sure that it will be quite an overclocking beast, but still it is something that we have yet to see once this one shows up at CES 2010.

You can check out the PCB picture here.
