Goes low profile this time

Sparkle
has launched two new low profile cards featuring GT 220 and GT 240 GPUs. Both of these cards have a 6cm tall PCB which makes them a perfect candidate for any HTPC system.

Both of the newly announced cards share the same design, the same dual-slot cooler and feature 128-bit memory interface and 1GB of GDDR3 memory. The GT 220 has 48 stream processors and works at 625MHz for the core, 1360MHz for shaders and 1580MHz for memory. The more interesting GT 240 has 96 stream processors and works at 550MHz for the core, 1340MHz for shaders and the same 1580MHz for memory.

According to Sparkle, the cooler produces 27.3dBA of noise and both cards feature D-Sub, DVI and HDMI outputs. We are pretty sure that Sparkle also bundles a low profile bracket for these two new cards and after all they do look like great thing to have in an HTPC system.

All we need to see is the price which hasn't been announced, but we guess that these will show up in retail/e-tail pretty soon.
